Elizabeth âa�A"Bettyâa�A� Halase, 81 Boardman- Elizabeth âa�A"Bettyâa�A� Halase,81, of 747 Oakridge Dr. died Wednesday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mrs. Halase was born in Weathersfield, OH March 21, 1924, a daughter of John and Barbara Balog Horvath. She was a bookkeeper at JC Pincus in Youngstown and previously worked at the Chrysler Corp. She was a homemaker and a devoted loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church. She took pride in Cooking, especially Hungarian foods and pastries; and she was featured in the Vindicator for cooking skills. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She leaves her husband, John Halase, whom she married August 5, 1945, celebrating 60 years; a son John (Linda) Halase of Cincinnati, OH; and a sister, Helen (George) Karsnak of Canfield. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Steve, Joe, John, and Dan Horvath; and two sisters, Pearl Linden and Infant Margaret. Funeral Services will be Monday 11 AM at the Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church Friends may call Sunday from 5-8PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland and Monday 10:10:45AM at the church.
