Elizabeth Ann âa�A"Bettyâa�A� Cikovich, 78 Elizabeth Ann Cikovich, 78, of 7358 Clingan Road, died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mrs. Cikovich also known as Betty, was born November 15, 1925 in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Lloyd Phillip and Mildred Agnes Ramage Newell. A life-long resident of Poland, Betty was a 1943 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. In the 1940âa�a��s and 1950âa�a��s she was a mail carrier for Sharon Steel Corp. She had also worked as a cook for Millcreek Golf Course and for over 25 years tended bar at the Struthers VFW Post #3538. A 57 year member of the Louis J. Campbell Ladies Auxiliary Post 3538, Struthers, Betty held every office with the exception of Treasurer and was most recently elected as President. Over the past 50 years she served as President at least 20 times. A dedicated member, Betty worked closely with veterans and the local clinics. She was instrumental in many aspects of the Auxiliary, including making lap robes, and sending Christmas gifts to veterans for their families. She participated in many drives including sending socks to the Butler VA Hospital, and cards on Valentine Day. Betty was also active in organizing bingo parties at the Hospital and worked monthly at the VFW spaghetti dinners. She was a member of the Poland Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, bowling and playing cards. Her husband Ernest Boris Cikovich whom she married July 3, 1954, died June 26, 1975. She leaves two sons, Michael Cikovich of Poland and Theodore B. and wife Chris Cikovich of New Waterford, Ohio; three sisters, Lillian Berdie of Laughlin, Nevada, Caroline Cowden and Margaret Fox, both of Poland; one brother, Lloyd L. Newell of Haines City, Florida; two grandchildren, Broc Doran of East Palestine and PFC Joshua Doran of Ft. Benning, GA., and one great-grandchild, Caden Doran of East Palestine. Funeral services will be Monday, 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM and Monday from 10-10:45 AM at the funeral home. The Ladies Auxiliary will be conducting a prayer service, Sunday at 6:00 PM. The family request memorial contributions go to the Cancer fund of the Louis J.
