Elizabeth Brown, 98
North Lima - Elizabeth Brown, 98, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, December 17, 2020 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
Elizabeth was born December 22, 1921 in Plainfield, CT, the daughter of the late James and Nannie (Shirk) Lees.
She graduated from Hubbard High School and was a lifelong area resident.
Elizabeth worked for the Youngstown Board of Education in the cafeteria at Sheridan Elementary School for 20 years.
She was a member of the former Central Christian Church on Market Street in Youngstown, where she was an active member and devoted to her faith. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Patrick A. (Cynthia) Brown of Lowellville; two grandchildren, Vernon Brown of Chesterton, IN, and Christine (Jon) Melions of Houston, TX; eight great-grandchildren, Shanna, Josi, Ciaira, Gavin, Logan, Cian, Carsyn, and Grayson.
Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon A. Brown; a son, Larry L. Brown; two sisters, Sarah Martin, and Margaret Schotten; three brothers, William Lees, Sam Lees, and John Lees.
Due to COVID-19 there are no services or calling hours. Interment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street in Boardman.
