Morganton, NC- Elijah Ford McMurray was born on June 18, 2012 to parents Adam and Katie (Hanuscak) McMurray. After battling neuroblastoma cancer, Eli passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on July 15, 2012 at Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.
He was an amazing blessing and was cherished and loved by his family every moment of his life. Eli was mommy's and daddy's "little buddy" and he loved holding their hands. He experienced many hugs and kisses from his family, listened to stories read by his mom, played monsters with his dad, and he especially loved looking at his frog mobile. Eli was loved by all and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Katie and Adam; maternal grandparents, Paul and Joan Ruchtie; paternal grandparents Richard McMurray and Kimberly McMurray; and many great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Elijah Ford McMurray truly was "Built Ford Tough."
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 3 PM at Cunningham -Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends and family will be received Thursday from 12-2:50PM at the funeral home.
