Eleanor A. Sarkies

Eleanor A. Sarkies, 91 Boardman- Eleanor A. Sarkies, 91, of Shepherd of the Valley formerly of Colonial estates in Poland died Sunday evening at the nursing home. Mrs. Sarkies was born May 27, 1912 in Brooklyn, New Yorkm a daughter of George and Nell Reinhardt. She moved to this area in 1933. She was a 1930 graduate of the Ottlie Home in Brooklyn and was a homemaker. She had once worked as office manager for Johnston Hardware and Wittenauer Pharmacy both in Poland. She was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church and the AARP where she served as an officer in 1970. Her husband Russell Ford Sarkies, whom she married in 1933 died in 1966. She leaves one son, Russell G. (Dorothy) Sarkies of Boardman and two grandchildren, David and Russell Sarkies. Besides her parents and husband, two sisters, Hattie Nunalee and Mildren Schenmeyer and two brothers, George and Edward Reinhardt preceded her in death. Private funeral services were held today at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral home, Poland. There were no calling hours.
