Poland - Eleanor V. Lease, 87, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 20, 1929 in York Run, PA, to the late Michael and Susan Bodish Valentich.
Eleanor was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she participated as a board member, sang in the choir, worshipped her Lord and helped where needed.
After graduating with a BS in Nursing, she used her degree to take care of many people over the years. She was an operating room supervisor, worked for McCall's Magazine, Ohio Bell and also was a nursing teacher to students wishing to work in the medical field.
After retiring, she continued working various jobs, including Dillards and she also modeled for several products, including for American Greeting Cards, which was very special to her.
Eleanor was loved by all and never hesitated to help those in need. She set an example of how the Lord wants us to follow in his path, by sharing her faith in God by encouraging others and helping them navigate through their spiritual journey.
Eleanor leaves her brother, Joe Valentich and his wife Alice of Boardman and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Lease and her siblings, Elmer, Fred, Edith, Isabella and Edward.
