Eleanor Frances Lawes Tucson- Eleanor Frances Lawes, 81, of Tucson, Arizona formerly of Struthers, Ohio died Tuesday evening at Mountain View Care Center in Tucson. Mrs. Lawes was born October 20, 1924 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Michael and Mary Fiffick Kolesar. She came to Struthers in 1955. A student of Youngstown College, Mrs. Lawes was a bookkeeper for various businesses in the Youngstown area retiring in 1987. Mrs. Lawes was a member of the Struthers United Methodist Church, Struthers VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #3538, AARP #3105 and Miriam Chapter #278. She was very active in the Girl Scouts for over 10 years and served on 3 Girl Scouts Round Ups. In the Youngstown area she was an active volunteer for Beeghly Medical Center in the recovery room, the American Red Cross and the Eye Care in the Amphylopia department testing pre-school children. Her husband Arthur Lawes whom she married June 8, 1946 died May 17, 1992. She leaves one daughter, Jill (Jack) Sample of Tucson, Arizona; one brother Verlan Kolesar of Cape Coral, Florida and several nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Lawes was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Lawes, and two sisters, Kathryn Frechko and Evelyn Bliss. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. There are no calling hours. Condolences may be sent at
