Eleanor Jane DeOto

Eleanor Jane DeOto, 87 Boynton Beach, FL- Eleanor Jane DeOto, 87, formerly of Youngstown, died Tuesday at the Manor Care Nursing Home. She was born in Youngstown on April 8, 1917, a daughter of Felix and Giovanna Marinelli Carmello. Mrs. DeOto was a member of the Casa Savoia Club in Youngstown, Poland AARP, and Saint Charles and Lowellville Senior Citizens. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Poland, Ohio Her husband, Mike DeOto, whom she married, June 1, 1940, died December 8, 1981. She leaves two daughters, Carmelita (Robert) Curtis of Boynton Beach, FL and JoAnn (Terence) McCarthy of Arcadia, CA; a son, Samuel (Norma) DeOto of Boynton Beach, FL; a brother, John Carmello of Elyria, OH; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gladys DeCarbo, Ida Carlomagno, Lena Marinelli, and Mary Carfagna; four brothers, Nick, Tony, Mike and Joe Carmello; and a step-mother, Adele Busico. Funeral services will be Saturday 12:30 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and at 1:00 PM at the Holy Family Church.
