Edward Paul Wolf
Alpharetta, GA - Edward Paul Wolf, 88, formerly of South Euclid, Ohio and Ormond Beach, Florida, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2011.
Edward was born on February 27, 1922 in Campbell, the son of the late George and Anna (Lapin) Wolfe.
He graduated from Memorial High School in 1942 and worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube before enlisting in the Coast Guard where he served on the USS Savage (DE 386) during WWII.
He leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Jane (Wallos) Wolf who he married in 1949. They raised their family together in South Euclid and after retiring in 1988 from General Motors in Brook Park Ohio, where he was a member of the UAW Local 1005, they relocated to Ormond Beach. In 2001 they moved to Alpharetta, GA to be close to family.
Edward enjoyed hunting, boating and football. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and The American Legion.
He is survived by his three daughters, Peggy Huigens of Texas, Patty (Dennis) Kauffman of Georgia, and Janey (David) Norris of Florida; his son, Mickey (Rise) Wolf of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Kate, Jessica, David, Cole, Kyle and Cameron; brother, Robert (Ellen) Wolfe of Florida; and two sisters-in-law, Odette Wolfe of California and Helen Kovach of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, George Wolfe; sister, Margaret Wolfe; and brother, John Wolfe.
The family will receive friends at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St. in Poland on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM where a Prayer Service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave. in Campbell. Interment will follow at The Belmont Park Cemetery.
