Edward Joe Scott

Struthers - Edward Joe Scott, 53, of Struthers, died unexpectedly Friday, September 26, 2008 at his residence. Eddie Joe was born May 31, 1955 in Youngstown, a son of Floyd A. and Ila Marie Crownover Scott, Sr. When Eddie Joe was born, he cried and the world rejoiced. He lived his life in such a way that when he died the world cried and he rejoiced. A 1975 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Eddie Joe worked as a roofer through the Roofer's Local Union No. 71 for 28 years. Eddie Joe was a United States Navy veteran serving on the USS Santa Barbara. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 3538, the St. Anthony Society in Struthers, the Johnson Club in Hillsville, and Pappa's Sports Club. He loved playing the guitar and singing country music. He also enjoyed shooting pool. He leaves his two sisters, Laura (Ron) Johnson of Boardman and Melody Cassity of Struthers; a brother, Floyd (Debra) A. Scott, Jr. of Sebring; his fiancée, Cheryl Lynne Johnstone of Youngstown; two step-sons, Michael and Jimmy Watson both of Boardman; and he was a great and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Lee Scott. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
