Edward G. Markovich, 80 Struthers- Edward G. Markovich,80, passed away peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by his family at Forum Health Northside Medical Center following a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Struthers June 9, 1924, a son of Stephen and Stana Babich Markovich (Stana Yallech). Mr. Markovich worked as a machinest at Youngstown Steel and Door Fabricating retiring in 1981. He later went on to work at Panelmatic Inc., where he retired in 1999. He proudly served in the US Army as a Field Lineman in Germany during WWII, and following the war reenlisted as a master Drill Sargent . He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Josephine Pandone, whom he married Febuary 18, 1950; two daughters, Jan (Dennis) Zorman of Boardman and Debra Brownlee of Poland; one sister, Stella Chupa of Canfield; and two; grandchildren his âa�A"pride and joyâa�A�, Carrie and Brian Zorman. Four brothers, Vincent, Joseph, Michael, and Steve Markovich are deceased. Friends may call Friday from 6-8PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
