Edward Charles âa�A"Kookâa�A� Hird, 47 Struthers- Edward Charles Hird, better known as âa�A"Kook,âa�A� passed away early Thursday morning at his brotherâa�a��s home in Springfield Twp. Kook was born May 9, 1959 in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert G. and Helen M. (Kearney) Hird. Both had lived in Poland. Kook was a life-long area resident of Poland and Struthers. He had attended Struthers High School and the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School. Kook was a fan of Harley Davidsons, NASCAR, and helped many friends with his talent at auto repair. He leaves behind two daughters, Kelly (John) Pellice of Struthers and Kandice Hird of Albanie, Georgia; four brothers, Bob (Marilee) of Youngstown, Jack and Howie both of Poland, and Bill âa�A"Boydâa�A� (Carol) of Springfield Twp; one sister, Ginny âa�A"Sisâa�A� of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Zachary and Kaitlin; and many nieces and nephews.
