Edward Clair Slagle

Edward Clair Slagle, 64 Struthers-Edward Clair Slagle, 64, of 28 Park Ave., died Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Slagle was born April 8, 1940 in Kittanning, PA, a son of Clair and Sylvia Mohr Slagle. He was raised in Kittanning and came to this area and to Struthers in 1965. He was a polisher and shipper for General Extrusions for over 32 years retiring in the year 2000. He attended Beaver Local High School and enjoyed the wildlife such as feeding the squirrels and birds. Mr. Slagle is survived by his mother, Sylvia Mohr at home; one son, Edward (Hazel) Burns of Youngstown; one step-son, Timothy Wichert of Struthers; two sisters, Mary Fennell of Boardman, and Carolyn Branning of Meridian, MS; and one brother William D. Slagle of Boardman. Besides his father he was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Slagle.
