Austintown-Edna McClelland, 97, of Austintown, formerly of 1822 Basil Avenue, died Tuesday morning at Woodlands at Austinwoods Nursing Home. Mrs. McClelland was born September 20, 1909 in Coitsville, a daughter of James and Myrtle Smith Clark. She was a resident of Girard from 1942 until 1986 when moving to Boardman. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. Mrs. McClelland's biggest joy was taking care and spending time with her family. Mrs. McClelland was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McClelland, whom she married June 10, 1933, on August 20, 1979. She leaves two sons, Robert McClelland and his wife, Sharon, of Warren and Ronald McClelland of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; two daughters, Phyllis Kesler of Boardman and Patty O'Shaughnessy of Poland; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Ernest Clark; two sisters, Leona Smith and Eleanor Engle; one grandson, Bob McClelland; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Bell. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main Street, Poland, with Rev. Ronald C. Spore officiating.
