Edith Ann Jacobson

Edith Ann Jacobson, 85 Struthers- Edith Ann Jacobson, 85, of Park Vista formerly of Struthers died Friday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Jacobson was born July 7, 1920 in Youngstown, a daughter of John Wesley and Anna C. Shumaker Gough. She came to Struthers as a child and lived there most of her life until moving to Boardman in 1979 and to Park Vista in 1999. She was a 1938 graduate of Struthers High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed traveling and took numerous bus trips and cruises in her life. Her husband William E. Jacobson whom she married June 19, 1948 died January 2, 1978. She leaves one daughter, Sylvia and husband Thomas Hiner of Boardman; one son, William W. and wife Marcie Jacobson of Canfield; four grandchildren, Gregory (Ann) Hiner of Hubbard, Jeffrey Hiner of Struthers, Kimberly (Joseph) Cleary of Cincinnati, Julie (Brian Kane) Jacobson of Columbia, S.C.; and one great-grandson, Eddy Hiner. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Jacobson was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred âa�A"Jimâa�A� Gough. Funeral services will be Monday, 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
