Girard - Earl R. Sherry, 82, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mr. Sherry was born January 24, 1931 in Punxsutawney, PA, son of Charles and Alice Hawk Sherry.
A 1949 graduate of Punxsutawney High School, Earl moved to Girard in 1950 and worked as a crane operator for Youngstown Sheet and Tube and later LTV. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving stateside as a survival instructor during the Korean Conflict.
His wife, the former Helen Berger, whom he married June 8, 1957, died November 24, 2003. He is survived by one daughter, Alice (Marty) Duffy of Akron; one son, Brian Sherry of Girard; one sister, Norma Spencer of Gustavas, OH; and one brother, George Sherry of Punxsutawney.
Besides his parents and wife, Earl was preceded in death by one sister, Erma Walker.
There are no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home Struthers.
