E. Theresa Bonelli

Struthers - E. Theresa Bonelli, 98, died September 22, 2014 at Maplecrest Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bonelli was born January 7, 1916 in Struthers, a daughter of Louis and Tresa Sekely Begala.
She was a 1934 graduate of Struthers High School. Theresa worked as a clerk in the family business at Begala Grocery Store in Struthers, before working at Strouss's and GC Murphy's. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for stuffed cabbage, kolachi, and pies. She was a gifted artist and she enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Anthony, whom she married Sept. 24, 1940, died Apr. 2, 1954.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Missik, of Struthers; two grandchildren, Kimberly Sue (Bob) Sauerwein of Columbiana and Lisa Marie (John) Missik-Gaffney of North Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Mitchell Sauerwein, Joseph and Stephen Gaffney.
Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by one son, Richard A. Bonelli; two brothers, Louis and William Begala; and four sisters, Vilma Smith, Helen Lesnansky, Irene and Theresa Begala.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 10:30AM at Davidson-Becker funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
