Douglas Alan Ripple, 43 Youngstown- Douglas Alan Ripple, 43, of Wakefield Ave., died of complications from an automobile accident in Lodi Monday morning. Doug was born January 21, 1963 in Youngstown, a son of Thomas E. Sr., and Shirley Stoeber Ripple. He was a life-long area resident. He was a 1981 graduate of Wilson High School and served in the United States Army. He was a general laborer for B&B Construction in Youngstown for 16 years. Doug had many interest, he enjoyed trivia and loved reading about and discussing with anyone who was interested, World War II. A Harley rider, Doug and his fiancée would spend much of their time riding, including making their annual trip to Florida. When at home, he would cultivate his vegetable garden and because of Dougâa�a��s love for food and cooking the produce harvested, would always be turned into a culinary pleasure. Dougâa�a��s humor, charisma and zest for life will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his mother Shirley (James) Bradick of Youngstown, Doug leaves two sisters, Elaine (Ray) Kosa of North Jackson and Kathleen Cariglio of Akron; one brother, Thomas E. Ripple, Jr., of Amesville, Ohio; two daughters, Collette and Jessica Ripple; one son, Drake Ripple; his fiancée, Bobbie Freedline and her two daughters, Sara and Lacie Lucas. Doug was preceded in death by his father. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
