Struthers - Douglas Stephen Jessey, 70, of Struthers, died April 21, 2009 at the Hospice House.
Mr. Jessey was born August 17, 1938 in Youngstown, a son of Emil and Veronica Bolash Jessey and was a lifelong resident of Struthers.
He was a 1956 graduate of Struthers High School and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Jessey was employed by General Extrusions for 37 years as the Shipping Department Supervisor, retiring in 1994.
He leaves his wife, the former Jeanne M. Baker, whom he married September 23, 1963; his two daughters, Linda (Jeffrey) Clemens of Jefferson Hills, Pa. and Amy (James) Manning of Struthers; a granddaughter, Sarah Manning; and a brother, David (Rose) Jessey of Chino, Calif.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Jessey.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 3900 Villa Marie Rd., Lowellville.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mr. Jessey's name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
