Dorothy A. Ruess

Poland - Dorothy A. Ruess, 65, of Poland, died late Wednesday evening, March 21, 2012 at the Hospice House.
Dorothy was born February 27, 1947 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Charles and Annie Mary "Minnie" (Platt) Megown.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School and attended Youngstown State University. Dorothy previously worked as a bookkeeper for Moore Peterson Insurance, Gibson Governor Insurance, and most recently, Cailor Fleming Insurance Company.
She was a member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church and a member of it's Bell Choir. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Ruess, whom she married July 17, 1971; two daughters, Jessica Ruess of Springfield and Megan Ruess of Edmond, OK; and a grandson, Austin Trebella.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at the Mahoning United Methodist Church with Pastor Joyce Lawson officiating.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Dorothy's name to Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44511.
