Dorothy R. Myers

Dorothy R. Myers, 91 Dorothy R. Myers, 91, formerly of Poland died early Friday morning at Clare Bridge Nursing Home. Mrs. Myers was born in Youngstown February 26, 1913, a daughter of Thomas X. and Lydia Steeves Morgan. She was a secretary for Murphy Contracting for 35 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church and charter member of the Youngstown Chapter of National Association of Women in Construction. Her husband, Harrison L. Myers whom she married June 26, 1942, died February 28, 1985. She leaves five nieces and nephews, Anne Virginia (John) Berkenkamp of Williamsburg, VA, Carol (Donald) Gubany of Youngstown, George J. (Mary Jo) Murphy of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Thomas Murphy of Hollywood, CA, and Debbie Sweger of Newville, PA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Muriel Gunderman and Virginia Murphy; and one brother, Thomas Morgan. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call one hour prior at the funeral home. Memorial tributes may be given to the Poland United Methodist Church or Southern Care Hospice.
