Poland - Dorothy Elizabeth Morrison, 97,died Saturday evening, at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown.
Dorothy was born March 28, 1916 in West Middlesex, PA, a daughter of Charles and Laura Houlette Mitchelltree. She resided in West Middlesex until coming to this area in 1975.
A 1934 graduate of West Middlesex High School, Dorothy worked as a Cafeteria Manager for West Middlesex Schools for over 30 years retiring in 1968.
Dorothy was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, it's Mariner's and the Care and Share Group. She loved to knit and crochet sweaters, dish towels, and blankets for her grandchildren.
Dorothy's husband, Scott Morrison, whom she married October 31, 1938 died August 22, 1975. She leaves her son, James (Cathy) Morrison of Poland; sister, Nettie Pantell of Greenville, PA; two grandchildren, Doug Morrison and Greg (Katie) Morrison; five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Morrison, and Aubrie, Aleea, and Liam Morrison.
Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, James Morrison; two sisters, Gwen McFarland and Alberta Scott; one nephew, Richard Scott; and one niece, Judy Pantell.
Services will be held Tuesday, 11a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. Interment will follow at the Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex, Pa.
Friends will be received Monday, August 26, 2013, from 4-7 p.m at the funeral home.
