Dorothy L McClellan, 91, of New Middletown, formerly of Lowellvile and Vienna, died late Monday evening at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center in New Middletown.
Dorothy was born April 9, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary McMann Lilley.
She was raised in Youngstown and was a 1938 graduate of South High School. She was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and later as a PBX operator for the main office of the Dollar Savings and Trust in Youngstown. A former member of the Gibson Heights Presbyterian Church, Dorothy was also a member of the Dollar Bank Retirees and the AARP.
Her husband, Arthur McClellan, whom she married April 17, 1944, died July 18, 1994; she leaves one daughter, Patricia (Jim) Pezzulo of Edinburg, PA; one son, Robert (Marie) McClellan of State College, PA; two sisters, Eleanor Denton of Struthers and Jean Swearington of Royal Palm Beach, FL; one brother - Robert Lilley of Newport, VA; three grandchildren, William Henry Jr., Kenneth Henry, and Michelle Silhanek; three great-grandchildren, Cierra, Patrick, and Kate.
Services will be held Thursday 11: 00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland, with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.
Friends will be received Thursday from 9:30 until 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
