Dorothy A. Guidos, 83 Struthers - Dorothy A. Guidos, 83, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Health Center with her family by her side. Mrs. Guidos was born Saturday, Feb. 14, 1925 in Hubbard, a daughter of George and Anna (Galuschik) Kober, and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hubbard Coal and Supply for 48 years and was a member of the Holy Trinity Church, and the Slovak Ladies Association. Mrs. Guidos loved canning, cooking and attending church. Her husband, Joseph Guidos Sr., whom she married Sept. 6, 1947, died Aug. 20, 1992. She leaves one son, Joseph Guidos Jr of Lowellville; one daughter, Dorothy (Dave) Burke of Austintown; one sister, Ann Julian of Hubbard; one sister-in-law, Ann Kober of Hubbard; one brother-in-law, Allan Earhart of Hubbard; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Kober; and sisters Catherine Earhart and Helen Baal. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Fr. William Petrunak officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery . Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. today, October 12, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where prayer services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the prayer service.
