DOROTHY J. GARCHAR âa�" 74 STRUTHERS âa�" Dorothy J. Garchar, 74 of 262 Woodbine Ave, passed away Wednesday evening February, 14, at Omni Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Youngstown on October 2, 1932, a daughter of Stephen and Anna Komara Fecko. She moved from Youngstown to Struthers in 1965. Mrs. Garchar graduated from South High School, and then worked for Union National Bank in Youngstown. After her marriage, she became a loving mother and homemaker. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed bowling, traveling, and especially listening and dancing to polka music. Her most cherished times were as a loving wife to her husband, Steve, and spending many happy times as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves her husband Stephen T. Garchar, whom she married February 16, 1953, three daughters, Marianne (Terry) Murphy of Newark, DE; Linda Garchar of Virginia Beach Virginia; Karen (Mark) Luke of Boardman, one brother, John (Evie) Fecko of Seminole FL., three sisters, Mary (Charles) Knight of Santa Maria CA, Eleanor (Robert) Osiniak of Struthers; Carol Fecko of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Sarah Chuey, Kelly Murphy, and Matthew Chuey. Besides her parents, Mrs. Garchar is preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Farmer, and two sisters, Bette Samolyk and Ann Gurak. Family and friends may call from 4-6 Sunday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where prayer services will be held Monday morning at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 am at the Holy Trinity Church, Struthers. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Condolences may be sent at
