Dorothy J. Chuey

North Lima - Dorothy J. Chuey, 81, of Glenellen Senior Living Community in North Lima and formerly of Lowellville, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Chuey was born August 31, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Gertrude Hoffman Merz. A graduate of Lowellville High School, Mrs. Chuey worked as a bookkeeper for Cunningham Furniture and Funeral Home and for Rossi Furniture for over 30 years. She was a member of the Lowellville Presbyterian Church and the American Business Women's Association. Her husband, John J. Chuey, whom she married October 14, 1950, died March 11, 2006. She leaves her daughter, Susan (Tom) Farah of Woodstock, GA; a granddaughter, Stacey Williams of Johnson City, TN; and a brother-in-law, William Zelina of Edinboro, PA. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Cuzic, Betty Zelina, and Alberta Ribarich; and two brothers, William and Robert Merz. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville. Interment will follow at Lowellville Cemetery.
