Dorothy Eleanor McKinley Beda

CLEARWATER, FLA. ­ Dorothy Eleanor McKinley Beda, formerly of New
Middletown, died on Oct. 26, 2013, at Morton Plant Hospital with her
husband and children by her side.
Mrs. Beda was born on July 30, 1927, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Philip and
Helen Drumheller McKinley.
She spent her early life in Morgantown, W.Va. and moved to Dravosburg, Pa.
in 1938. She was a 1945 McKeesport High School graduate.
She married Harold Beda on Oct. 19, 1946, at the Dravosburg Presbyterian
Church. They resided in Girard, where their three daughters were born, Alice
Jeanne (Andrew) Yiannaki of Raleigh, N.C., Janice Marie (Michael) Moliterno
of Girard and Elaine Carol (Joseph) Sandy, who is deceased.
She also leaves behind a brother, Charles Stickle and seven grandchildren,
Marcia Preston, Alenna Fratamico, Jeffrey Yiannaki, Jared Sandy, Jill
Moliterno, Jason Moliterno and Brett Sandy.
Mrs. Beda worked for J.C. Penny¹s in Liberty for 22 years, retiring as
Personnel Director in 1985. She was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church in Niles, Past Matron of Sunrise Chapter No. 458 Order of the Eastern
Star, where she served with her husband two times, Cauldron of Aut Mori
Grotto and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She also served on the Advisory
Board with Girard Rainbow Girls. She retired to Clearwater in 1993.
A memorial service will be held at a later time with interment at Belmont
Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
Arrangements are by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
