Struthers - Dorothy Barton, 78, of Struthers, died Thursday morning at her residence. Dorothy Ann Barton, a daughter of Charles and Ann Buckon Polisky, was born February 8, 1930 in her parent's home on the East Side of Youngstown. She was a 1948 graduate of East High School and worked as a cashier at the Paramount Theater and for Liberty Manufacturing before becoming a homemaker. For the past 20 plus years she worked for Alan Friedkin. Dorothy was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Dorothy leaves her husband, William "Swabbyâa�A� Barton whom she married September 15, 1962: two daughters, Denise (Paul) Wilkens of Struthers and Margaret (John) Puhalla of Boardman; two grandchildren, Ashley Wilkens of Struthers and Andrew Puhalla of Boardman; one sister, Mary (Richard) Gilboy of Jacksonville, FL; two nephews, Joseph Gilboy of Tallahassee, FL, and Timothy (Angela) Gilboy of Jacksonville, FL; and one niece, Amy (Chuck) Meide of St. Augustine, FL. Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Polisky. Through the assistance of her sister Mary, Dr. Alex Vrable, and Hospice of the Valley, Dorothy was able to spend her final weeks in the comfort of her home in Struthers, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. at the Davidson- Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Bernard Bonnot officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio. Friends will be received Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to Dorothy's love of animals, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Noah's Lost Ark in Berlin Center in her name. Condolences may be sent at
