Dorothy R. Baker, 75 BOARDMAN- Dorothy R. Baker, 75, of 6300 Chelsea Ct. South Avenue died Thursday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic. Mrs. Baker was born September 25, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Tuschak Hassey. She was a life long area resident. She was a 1948 graduate of Wilson High School and attended Saint Mathias Grade School. She was a member at Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers and was a homemaker. Besides her husband, Alfred, whom she married May 19, 1970, she leaves one daughter, Roberta Waschak of Houston; three sons, Thomas Vagas and Richard(Susan) Vagus both of Austintown and James Vagus of Houston; one brother Frank Hassey of Struthers, three grandchildren John, Richard, and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Madaline and Ryan. Two sisters Ann Thomas and Catherine Steiner and two brothers John and Joe Hassey preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Monday, 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM Sunday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and Monday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. The family request that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation.
