RAVENNA -- Dorothy Ann Clark Alexander, 97, went to be with the Lord July 16, 2008. She was born in Iowa on September 11, 1910 and spend the majority of her life in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Boardman, Ohio in 1994 and to Ravenna, Ohio in 2007. Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Albert Sherman, for 44 years before his death in 1977. Continuing to celebrate her life are her daughter, Rev. Jane Melick, and son-in-law, Rev. James Melick, with whom she made her home; granddaughters, Catherine and Amy; and great-grandchildren, Jace, Kayla and Dakota. Dorothy was a member of the Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio. She also belonged to the Wilson-Carlisle Cancer Ray and the Clintonville Women's Club. Her treasures were her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Ravenna, Ohio, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorials be given in her name to the Hospice of Robinson Memorial Hospital, 6847 N.
