Struthers - Doris June Montgomery, 75, of Struthers, died early Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center of a massive stroke after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident on June 25th.
June was born March 2, 1934 in Andrews, NC, a daughter of Willard and Hopey Hoxworth Earwood.
She was a 1951 graduate of Struthers High School and worked as a clerk for the Driver License Exam board for over 25 years.
June was a member of the Baptist Bible Church in Ravenna and loved sewing and gardening.
Her husband, Charles Astor Montgomery, whom she married March 17, 1952, died June 25th of this year. She leaves three sons, C. Michael (Robin) Montgomery of Poland, Daniel (Tina Sainito) Montgomery of Struthers, and Bryan (Mary) Montgomery of Petersburg; two brothers, Ken Earwood of New Middletown and Charles Earwood of TX; and four grandchildren, Brittany, Danny, Bryan, and Sarah Montgomery.
Besides her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Melozzi.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers with Pastor Vince Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
