North Lima - Doris Mae Leepard, 91, died March 21, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Leepard was born May 17, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Elizabeth MacFarland Evans.
She was a 1943 graduate of South High School.
Doris worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube from 1943-1952. She went on to be a legal secretary for Smith Law Office in North Lima for 40 years.
Doris enjoyed sewing, making candles, her sub-deb club friends, traveling, and watching the Indians and Pirates baseball games.
Her husband, Robert J. Leepard, whom she married Sept. 17, 1949, died Jan. 24, 2007.
She is survived by two daughters, Stefani Leepard of North Lima and Beth Leepard of Melbourne, FL; one brother, Robert C. (Almedah) Evans of Canfield; one sister-in-law, Sally Evans of Dayton; one granddaughter, Amber (Owen) Sabo Bower of Dublin, CA. She was adored by nieces Barbara Bush, Marilyn Evans, Sue (Kurt) Allen, Haley Allen, Mallory and Lindey Allen, Macy and Lexi Harris; nephews, David Evans and Paul Buza; and great nieces, Emily Bush and Hillary Allen. She will also be missed by special friends, Dolly, Laverne, Tina, and Robin.
Besides her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by one brother, William Evans.
Services will be held Saturday April 8, 2017 at 2:00PM at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, with Pastor Randy Brunko of Evangel Baptist Church officiating.
There will be a reception to follow at the Becker Family Center.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank her loving caregivers Sandy, Holly, Rachel, and Rhonda for their love and kindness.
