Poland - Doree Rose Ramun, 52, went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, September 3, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Doree was born November 20, 1963 in Appleton, WI, a daughter of Robert and Bernice Weiss Besch.
Raised in Wisconsin, Doree was a graduate of Kenosha High School. In 1982, she and her husband moved to Poland, where they would make their home and raise their two sons. Doree was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. After raising her children, she owned and operated a contracting company, Exodus Industrial, along with her husband. She handled all the financial, banking, and accounting for the business.
Doree loved people and sharing the love of Christ. She was a member of New Life Church in Poland. Doree has traveled to Africa and El Salvador on mission trips, and she has also volunteered for several church and non-profit groups, including Teen Challenge and ministries within the church.
Doree loved the water, boating, skiing, golfing, and spending time with her grandson, Daniel.
She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Ramun, whom she married October 30, 1982; ; two sons, Michael Ramun of Poland and Daniel (Stacy) Ramun of Poland; grandson, Daniel Ramun, Jr.; her mother, Bernice Besch of Valley Mills, TX; two brothers, Bob Besch of Shiocton, WI and Tim (Kris) Besch of Baraboo, WI; four sisters, Renee (Jim) Gardner of Waupaca, WI, Sheri (Mike) Wieters of Weyauwega, WI, April (Efrain) Alvarez of Pearce, AZ, and Ashleen (Robert) Loftin of China Springs, TX; mother-in-law, Louise Ramun of Poland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Mike Ramun.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Life Church, 2250 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, Ohio 44514. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at New Life Church.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Ramun's name to New Life Church.
