Dorcas Moore

Lowellville- Dorcas Moore, 93, of Lowellville, died October 28, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Dorcas was born in Camden, NJ on October 8, 1922 to the late Robert and Wilmina Miller. She graduated from Camden High School, NJ and Drexel University in 1942 in the Secretarial Program. Dorcas worked as a homemaker and a secretary. Her favorite secretarial position was as church secretary at Clifton Park Community Church in New York.
Dorcas valued caring for her family and others, caring for her home and her church. Dorcas loved cats. She had an engaging sense of humor, always wore a smile and had the heart of a servant. It was not uncommon to find extra family or friends gathered around the table at meal times.
Dorcas was preceded in death by her beloved husband James "Jay" Moore and a son Chris Andersen.
Dorcas leaves behind 5 children, Mary (Andrew) Miner, Clyde (Chris) Moore, Carol (Keith) McDivitt, Cindy Walter and John Moore; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at the Mahoning Presbyterian Church, 4401 Skyhill Road, Pulaski, PA, 16143; date and time yet to be determined. Interment will follow at the Lowellville Cemetery.
The family requests that all tributes please take the form of memorial donations to the Mahoning Presbyterian Church.
