Donna M. Spaeth

Youngstown - Donna M. Spaeth, 90, of Youngstown, formerly of Sebring, FL, died November 18, 2016 at Omni West Assisted Living.

Mrs. Spaeth was born August 17, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph R. and Bessie Lawman Burns.

She was a 1944 graduate of East High School and went on to attend Louis Weinberger and Hill Cosmetology School. She was owner and operator of Donna's Beauty Salon in Youngstown for 15 years.

Donna was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sebring. She was also a member of Hobby Club in Sebring, the Elks Lodge #1529P, and she was past treasurer of the Frances One Mobile Home Park. Donna also volunteered for hospice in Florida.

Her husband, Charles, whom she married April 17, 1948, died Jan. 1, 1986.

She leaves two daughters, Charla (John) Dahlstrom of Canfield and Lora (Greg) McCarty of Maumee, OH; four grandchildren, Brian Revak of North Jackson, Stacey (Phil) Merlo of Canfield, Nance (Larry) Heckman of Powell, OH, and Greg McCarty Jr. of Moore, OK; five great-grandchildren, Sophia and Vivian Heckman and Madelyn, Avery, and Owen Merlo; two brothers, Robert Burns of Natchez, Louisiana and Alan (Nancy) Burns of Venice, FL.

Besides her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, James Burns and twin brother, Donald Burns.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received Monday from 5-7 PM and Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
