NEW WATERFORD - Donna J. Rouzzo, 67, passed away Feb. 3, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
She was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Youngstown, one of three children born to Angelo and Avis Rae Miller Cacivilano.
Donna was united in marriage to James A. Rouzzo on June 22, 1974.
She was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and after high school she received her cosmetology license. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for and cooking for her family. ³After her children were grown, she was a caretaker for many family¹s loved ones in our community.² Ultimately her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her ³Nonnie,² were her pride and joy.
In her spare time, she enjoyed planting flowers and caring for her pets. If you were blessed enough to know Donna, then you knew her kindness and her generosity and you were welcomed in as one of her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, James A. Rouzzo of New Waterford; two sons, Donald A. Dowd (Lisa Dowd) and James B. Rouzzo; three daughters, Angela Rouzzo, Melinda Dowd and Candice Rouzzo; three grandsons, Norman Dowd, Donald C. Dowd and James D. Rouzzo; four granddaughters, Lauren Dowd, Sabrina Rouzzo, Renee Rouzzo and Bella Donna Dunning; and one great-granddaughter, Nikita Dowd. She also leaves behind other family members who were very dear to her, including Armando Perchiacca, Trisha Rouzzo, Lynn Mackey, Wayne Dunning and MaryJane Dunning.
Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Cacivilano; and her brother, Angelo Cacivilano.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at the Venture Church, 250 Idaho Road in Austintown. Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m.
Service will immediately follow.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker funeral home in Struthers.
