Donna J. Lynch

Youngstown- Donna J. Lynch, 85, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 after a long illness.

Donna was born June 1, 1933 in Meadville, PA, a daughter of Arthur and Elinor (Barrows) Stainbrook.

Raised in Youngstown, she was a 1952 graduate of South High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked in the order department at Youngstown Sheet & Tube. She married Eugene "Gene" Lynch on June 3, 1955 and became a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos, especially Atlantic City and Las Vegas, crossword puzzles, and traveling.

Her husband, Gene, preceded her in death on August 23, 2013 after 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Lynch of Boardman and Jack (Gail) Lynch of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by her two sisters, Joann Caspary and Audrey Bennett.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4:45-6:45 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Private interment will take place on Friday at Lake Park Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation and thank Dr. Thomas Detesco, Dr. Kevin Stephans at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Nicholas Proia, and their wonderful staff for the great care they gave to Donna over the years. Also a special thank you to the girls from Mercy Home Health Care and the Greenbriar, especially Leslie and Gina Marie, for their excellent care and compassion during her recent illness.
