Services will be held Thursday 1:00-pm at The Calvary Baptist Church for Donna J.H. Weaver Gruver. She peacefully passed to our Lord's tender care from her family home.
Donna was born Jan. 13, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of Edwin and Nellie Davis Hagan. She was a 1946 graduate of South High School and had been an office manager for many years throughout the Mahoning Valley. She last worked for Beard Financial Services and Boardman Medical Supply.
Donna, a lifelong member, served her Lord, through Sunday school teaching and committee service. She also sang in the choir and served as choir president. She was on the Board at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and was a member and past officer of Calon Welsh Club.
Her beloved husband William E. Gruver preceded her in death, August 16, 2008.
Her first husband and father of her children Dr. Edwin L. Weaver, died June 27, 1989.
Surviving her are two daughters Ellen Weaver(Robert) Bailey of Whispering Pines, NC, Jean (Gary) Fenton of Greenville, NC, a son Paul E. (Michelle) Weaver of Chesterland. Also ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call today from 4-7pm at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 4996 Market St., Boardman and Thursday from 12:00-12:30 pm at the church .
