Donna K. Green

New Middletown- Donna K. Green, 78, died September 4, 2016 at the Hospice House.

Mrs. Green was born April 17, 1938 in Petersburg, a daughter of John and Mildred (Fry) Dey.

She was a 1956 Springfield Local High School graduate. Donna was a homemaker, having raised four children and also hung custom wallpaper for many years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and playing cards with them. Donna loved spending time with her friends at their winter home in Palmetto, FL. She also loved camping and going to her children's and grandchildren's sports games and school activities.

Early in her life, Donna was involved in a bowling league and card club for many years.

Donna is survived by her husband of 59 years John "Jack", whom she married August 1, 1957; three daughters, Kathy (Dan) Burke of Valrico, FL, Karen McLaughlin of New Middletown, and Kristen (John Lyons) Burkey of New Middletown; one son, John T. Green of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Delores Brown of Poland; eight grandchildren, James, Meghan, Tyler McLaughlin; Erica (Chris Harn) Burkey, Elissa Burkey, Britney (Wes) Black, Sean Terral, and Kristin Callahan; grand puppies, Louie and Lexi Burke; one great-grandchild, Bentley Black; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her parents.

A memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Erin Burns officiating.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
