DONALD E. TURNBULL âa�" 86 POLAND âa�" Donald E. Turnbull, age 86 of Alverne Drive, died Friday evening at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Mr. Turnbull was born December 17, 1921 in Youngstown, a son of John W. & Dorothy M. Thomas Turnbull and was a life long are resident. He was a 1938 graduate of South High School, and a WWII Air Force Veteran. Mr. Turnbull worked as a Machinist for over 40 years for Republic and LTV Steel, before his retirement in 1982. He loved NASCAR, building Stock Cars for local drivers and listening to country music. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen L. Smith whom he married July 22, 1950, one daughter, Janice Turnbull of Youngstown; one son, Donald W. Turnbull of Youngstown; one sister, Dorothy (William) Mariner of Olean, New York, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother John Turnbull, and one sister Delores Lofaro. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 with Deacon Ray Hatala officiating.
