Austintown- Donald C. Schrader, 62, of Austintown, passed away Wednesday morning, September 4, at his residence.
Don was born September 13, 1950 in Youngstown, a son of the late Donald and Betty Bucklew Schrader.
A 1969 graduate of The Rayen School, Don was a plumber by trade and a jack of all trades. He worked for St. Elizabeth Medical Center for over 20 years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and remodeling projects.
Don was known for his great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Besides his wife, the former Vickie Dixon whom he married September 19,1970; he leaves three sons, Donald III and wife Kristine Weimer, stationed in the U.S. Navy in Japan, Brian and wife Dawn Ciavarella of Austintown, and Jason and wife Jennifer Brown of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Ian, Tresa, Madison, Jada,Briana and Jacob; three sisters, Cheryl (Don) Schanz of Conneaut Lake, PA, Carla (Grant) Williams of Boardman, Clara (Larry) Patterson of NC; one brother, Daniel (Katie) Schrader of Austintown.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, 4:00 PM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home at the new location 8536 market Street, with Pastor James Berkebile officiating.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:45 PM at the funeral home.
