Poland - Donald Charles Renzenbrink, 97, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. 
 
He was born October 2, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of the late Charles and Edith (Freehling) Renzenbrink. He was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II and was stationed in Panama, attaining the rank of T5. 
 
He worked 31 years at Metal Carbides Corporation, beginning and ending his time there as a Finish Grinder. He worked about 18 years part time at Blattman Brothers as a Cutter Grinder. He held many elected offices in U.S.W. Local 2879, including as President. He also retired from Boardman Schools as a bus driver. He was active in his church as Elder as well as many other duties. He loved all sports, but mainly the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He also was a member of the Saxon Club. 
 
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Debra Rolland of Youngstown and Diane (Nick) Gavolas of Poland; his grandchildren, Michael R. Kennedy of Youngstown, Stephen M. (Amanda) Gavolas of Fairview Park, and Alan J. (Amelia) Gavolas of Boardman; and his great-grandchildren, Solomon Kennedy and Aiden Gavolas.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, the former Dolores Rita Longstreet, whom he married May 26, 1951 and who passed December 5, 2020; his brothers, Harrison Renzenbrink and Charles Renzenbrink, Jr.; and his son-in-law, Robert J. Rolland. 
 
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, and again on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service beginning at 1:30 p.m.. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to Bethel Friends Church, 2771 Spitler Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514 in his memory.
