Columbiana - Donald W. Norberg, 74, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 in St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was born September 17, 1941 in Youngstown, son of the late, Robert and Dolores Steele Norberg.
He attended Poland Seminary High School and prior to his junior year transferred to Lowellville High School where he graduated from in 1959. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served for three years. Don retired from the Pepsi Company following 30 years of employment, where he started out as a delivery driver and worked his way up to management. Following his retirement, he began working at Multiflow for 13 years, where he was employed as a salesman. He then was employed with Voith Industries for eight years. Don was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating in his younger years. He was a member of the Firestone VFW Post in Columbiana.
He leaves his wife, Patricia O'Brien, whom he married on January 30, 2010; his son, Don "OJ" Norberg; four sisters, Darlene, Diane, Peggy and Tami Norberg; his brother, Robert H. (Elizabeth) Norberg, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Robert Renninger and Mark Barone; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Austalosh Norberg; brother, Jerry Norberg and his sisters, Debbie Norberg, Roberta Renninger and Jackie Barone.
In death, Don was able to give the gift of life through organ donation.
Friends will be received on Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St. Poland, OH 44514.
