Donald A. DeAngelis, 84, died November 11, 2017 at Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mr. DeAngelis was born March 16, 1933 in Lowellville, a son of Arthur and Carolyn Gliemmo DeAngelis.
He was a 1951 graduate of Lowellville High School. Don then went into the United States Army in 1953, where he served for two years. He received a degree in accounting from Youngstown State University. He was an accountant for Edward J. DeBartolo Company for over 20 years.
Don was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica.
Some of his favorite past times were golfing, bowling, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Angeline Merola, whom he married April 27, 1957; one brother, Larry (Virginia) DeAngelis of Clarkston, MI; one nephew, Gary (Diane) DeAngelis of Plymouth, MI; one niece, Laura (Matthew) Fletcher of Alma, MI; three great-nephews, Alex DeAngelis, Brannon and Aiden Fletcher; and one great-niece, Jenna Fletcher;
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:15AM at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, at 10:00 AM with Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Lowellville.
