Struthers - Dominic J. Malatok, 96, of Struthers, died Thursday morning, March 27, 2014 at the Hospice House.
Dominic was born November 3, 1917 in Youngstown, a son of Adam and Eva Koleda Malatok.
Raised on the East Side, Dominic was a 1936 graduate of East High School. Dominic worked as a Pattern Maker for Commercial Inter-Tech for 37 years retiring in 1981.
Dominic enjoyed bowling, golfing and especially family get-togethers. For many years Dominic was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul. He was a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish formerly known as Sacred Heart and Immaculate Conception.
Dominic's wife, the former Lenore Potock, whom he married February 3, 1940 died April 3, 2003; he is survived by his two daughters, Sandra (Doug) McKinney of Tucson, AZ. and Cindy Porter of Girard; three sons, Donald (Paulette) Malatok and James (Peggy) Malatok both of Struthers, and Kenneth (Tammy) Malatok of Marshall, MI; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Dominic was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Savko and Josephine Carson; brother, Anthony Malatok; and son-in-law, Bill Porter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Angela Merici Parish with Fr. Kevin Peters officiating. Place of Interment is the Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where a Prayer Service will be held Monday at 9:15 AM.
