Dominic Corsale

Dominic Corsale, 77 Girard- Dominic Corsale, 77, of 101Elruth Court #8, died Sunday morning at Forum Health Northside Hospital. Mr. Corsale was born September 14, 1925, in Girard, a son of the late Michael J. and Nancy M. Augustine Corsale. He attended school in Girard and had been a lifelong area resident. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served aboard the USS Pokomoke, a sea plane tender in the Pacific Theater. He was employed by both McDonald US Steel, McDonald, OH, as an assistant roller, retiring in 1972 after 30 years, and Girard City Schools, where he delivered school lunches for 15 years. Mr. Corsale enjoyed the horse races and gaming. Besides his wife the former Sylvia Heatherly, whom he married September 10, 1973, he leaves three daughters: Nancy Novosel of Austintown; Debbie and son-in-law Tom Darling; Patricia and son-in-law Paul Timm; Sherie and son-in-law Paul Preketes all of Michigan; two sons: Michael and daughter-in-law Mary Jo Corsale of Austintown; Howard and daughter-in-law Robin Zickefoose of Girard; a sister: Dorothy Williams of Girard; and a brother: Eugene Corsale of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife: Mary Jane Andres; and two brothers: Joe and Michael. There will be no calling hours observed and no services. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
