Youngstown - Dolores J. Oliver, 72, died October 12, 2013 at the Hospice House.
Dolores was born August 27, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of Stanley and Ursula (Brzstowski) Borkowski.
She was a graduate of Ridgefield High School in New Jersey. After high school, she worked as a legal secretary for a law firm in New York City. At the age of 33, Dolores moved to Youngstown. She previously worked in the office for Wean United and as a secretary for Dr. Zervas. She retired from Bank One after 23 years, which later became Chase Bank, as a supervisor in the data processing department and a teller. After retirement, she worked for Dr. Nallari for several years up until her illness.
Dolores was an active member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Boardman. In her spare time, she enjoyed going on bus trips every Wednesday to Mountaineer Casino with her friends, and rooting for the YSU Penguins Football Team as a season ticket holder. Dolores was 100% Polish and very proud of her heritage.
In addition to her mother, Ursula, of Bayville, NJ, Dolores is survived by her husband, Roy P. Oliver, whom she married July 21, 1990; two sons, Kenneth (Diane) Dama of Princeville, Hawaii and Thomas Dama of Boardman; brother, Bob (Maureen) Borkowski of Bayville, NJ; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Dolores was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Richard Borkowski; and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Dama.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and Thursday from 9:15-9:45 a.m. at the church.
