Poland - Dianne McIntyre Lyons, 56, of Poland, and formerly of Ashtabula, died Saturday afternoon, January 21, 2017 at Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation after a year and a half battle with cancer.
Dianne was born June 14, 1960 in Columbus, a daughter of James and Lucille Thomas McIntyre.
Raised in Ashtabula, she was a 1978 graduate of Ashtabula High School. Diane received her LPN degree from Lakeland Community College and worked the majority of her career in the medical industry, most recently for Geneva Hospital.
Some of Dianne's favorite interests included cooking a wonderful meal and gardening.
She married, Ned A. Lyons, on October 6, 2010, and relocated to Poland, where they made their home.
In addition to her husband, Ned, Dianne is survived by her parents, James and Lucille McIntyre of Saybrook; three sisters, Kathy McIntyre of Ashtabula, Karen (Joseph) Armeni of North Kingsville, and Teresa (Timothy) Sweeney of Madison; two brothers, James "Robin" McIntyre of Ashtabula and Mark (Rhonda) McIntyre of North Kingsville; and loved being an aunt to 5 nieces and 2 nephews and 5 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Joseph Church, 3330 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and Czup Funeral Home in Ashtabula.
