Salem - Diane E. Tullis, R.T., 61, of Salem, died Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Diane was born August 3, 1957 in Salem, a daughter of Eugene and Ruth Sox Suliot.
A life-long resident of Salem, Diane was raised on her family farm and enjoyed working the farm with her family, as well as watching her younger brother and cooking for her family while her mother worked the former Suliot Farm Market.
In 1975, Diane graduated from Salem High School and in 1977 went on to receive her certification from the Youngstown Hospital Association School of Radiologic Technology. In 1990, Youngstown Hospital Association sent her to the Medical University of South Carolina to further her education in radiation technology and in 1991 passed the Registry. Diane worked in the field for 31 years and took great care of her patients. Her co-workers were like family to her.
Diane loved the game of golf, was a self taught photographer, excellent cook, and a lover of dogs. She enjoyed vacationing in the Caribbean and after starting a family, annual trips to Myrtle Beach. Diane will forever be remembered for her love of her family, kind heart and endless smile.
She leaves her husband, Larry R. Tullis, whom she married July 16, 1983; one son, Lance R. Tullis of Salem; one brother, Larry E.(Connie) Suliot of Salem; one sister-in-law, Sherry M. (Richard) Huston of Salem; three nephews, Mike, Matt and Nathan Huston; and one niece, Nikki Huston.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, John T. Suliot.
A celebration of Diane's Life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm at the Salem Elks.
