BOARDMAN Diane T. Murphy passed away April 24, 2015 at her home.
Diane was born Sept. 7, 1949, in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony and Margery A. Crossen DiCarlo.
She attended St. Charles grade school and graduated from Boardman High School in 1967. She holds a Bachelor¹s Degree from Youngstown State University, a Master¹s Degree in English from YSU, and a Master¹s Degree from Ashland College in Administration.
Diane taught English at Youngstown City Schools, retiring in 2012. She gave her life to Youngstown City Schools. Devoted mother and teacher. She was a lifelong educator and a strong proponent of the English Festival at YSU.
Surviving her are her son, Michael (Stephanie) Murphy of Reston, Va.; a sister, Donna (Michael) Tallon of Sarasota, Fla., three brothers, David
(Debbie) DiCarlo of Hope, Ala., Dale (Jan) DiCarlo of Canton, and Daniel
(Alma) of San Francisco and her former husband, William J. Murphy of Canfield.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Anthony and Marge DiCarlo.
Following Diane¹s wishes, there will be no services.
